Discover our range of oil press machines designed to provide high oil yield and efficiency for various oil crops, ensuring optimal performance for your extraction needs.
Oil press is a mechanical device for extracting oil from plant seeds. It is widely used in the extraction of edible oils such as soybean oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil, peanut oil, rapeseed oil, linseed oil, palm oil, coconut oil, cottonseed oil, corn germ oil, etc. It is an important pillar of the modern oil industry. Oil press can be divided into hydraulic oil press, screw oil press and leaching oil press according to type.
Working principle of oil press
1. Hydraulic oil press
The hydraulic oil press mainly uses the hydraulic principle to inject high-pressure liquid into the oil press chamber, so that peanuts and other oil crops are pressed out of the cells under the action of high-pressure liquid. The hydraulic oil press is easy to operate and has a high oil output rate, but it is noisy and has poor adaptability to oil.
2. Screw oil press
The screw oil press mainly uses the principle of screw extrusion. Through the extrusion of the rotating screw shaft and the inner wall of the press chamber, the oil crops are crushed under high temperature and high pressure to squeeze out the oil from the cells. The screw oil press can operate continuously, with high efficiency and strong adaptability, but the oil yield is relatively low.
3. Oil press
The extraction oil press mainly uses the principle of solvent extraction of oil. By injecting solvent into oil crops, the oil and solvent are fully mixed, and then the solvent is recovered through evaporation, separation and other processes to obtain oil. The extraction oil press has a high oil yield, but a certain amount of solvent will remain, which needs further treatment.
Advantages and features
Oil yield:
Different types of oil press equipment have different oil yields. Generally speaking, hydraulic oil presses have a higher oil yield, which can reach more than 90%; screw oil presses are second, which can reach 60%-70%; and leaching oil presses have the lowest oil yield, which is generally around 40%-50%. However, it should be noted that different types of oil crops have different oil yields.
Energy consumption:
Different types of oil press equipment have different energy consumption. Generally speaking, hydraulic oil press has lower energy consumption because it uses hydraulic principle to press oil; screw oil press is second because it uses the rotation of screw shaft to press oil; extraction oil press has the highest energy consumption because it requires a large amount of solvent.
Application Scenario
Different types of oil pressing equipment have different application ranges. Hydraulic oil presses are suitable for the extraction of hard-shelled oil crops such as peanuts and sesame; screw oil presses are suitable for the extraction of various soft-shelled and hard-shelled oil crops; leaching oil presses are suitable for the extraction of various oil crops, but attention should be paid to the problem of solvent residue.
