Oil press is a mechanical device for extracting oil from plant seeds. It is widely used in the extraction of edible oils such as soybean oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil, peanut oil, rapeseed oil, linseed oil, palm oil, coconut oil, cottonseed oil, corn germ oil, etc. It is an important pillar of the modern oil industry. Oil press can be divided into hydraulic oil press,
screw oil press and leaching oil press according to type.
Working principle of oil press
1. Hydraulic oil press
The hydraulic oil press mainly uses the hydraulic principle to inject high-pressure liquid into the oil press chamber, so that peanuts and other oil crops are pressed out of the cells under the action of high-pressure liquid. The hydraulic oil press is easy to operate and has a high oil output rate, but it is noisy and has poor adaptability to oil.
2. Screw oil press
The screw oil press mainly uses the principle of screw extrusion. Through the extrusion of the rotating screw shaft and the inner wall of the press chamber, the oil crops are crushed under high temperature and high pressure to squeeze out the oil from the cells. The screw oil press can operate continuously, with high efficiency and strong adaptability, but the oil yield is relatively low.
3. Oil press
The extraction oil press mainly uses the principle of solvent extraction of oil. By injecting solvent into oil crops, the oil and solvent are fully mixed, and then the solvent is recovered through evaporation, separation and other processes to obtain oil. The extraction oil press has a high oil yield, but a certain amount of solvent will remain, which needs further treatment.
